About us
The people behind freshtiq
We are a UK team of working broadcast engineers and producers who turned years of studio floor experience into a practical course.

Built around the studio floor
freshtiq began as a set of internal training sessions for new starters at a regional television facility. Colleagues kept asking for the same thing: clear, hands-on teaching that skips the theory nobody uses on a live show.
Today the course covers broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events.
How we teach
Learn on real kit
Every module runs in a working studio, so you handle the same cameras, desks and control surfaces you will meet on the job.
Light with intent
We teach you to read a set, shape a shot and build lighting plots that make sense for every camera angle.
Respect the audio
Viewers forgive a soft picture long before they forgive bad sound. Audio gets equal weight in every session.
Stay calm live
Workflow, communication and backup plans are practised until they become second nature when the red light is on.
Sound is half the picture
Our sound room mirrors a broadcast audio control suite, with a digital console, monitoring and routing. Learners practise balancing dialogue, music and effects for live programmes and events.
Cohorts stay small, so every learner gets time on the faders and direct feedback from the engineers who mix real shows.
